Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical SAS Programmer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Database Design and Modifications
- Assist in designing and modifying databases to solve data processing issues.
- Ensure efficient use of computer equipment, operating time, and resources.
- Clinical Data Management
- Import and manage clinical data, handling missing values and programming errors.
- Read and process raw data files, and create necessary data structures.
- Report Generation
- Use SAS Output Delivery System (ODS) to generate clinical reports in formats such as RTF, PDF, and HTML.
- Prepare custom reports and listings based on client requirements.
- SAS Programming
- Develop SAS programs (Base SAS, Advanced SAS, SAS Macros, SAS SQL) to generate datasets from raw clinical trial data.
- Create project-specific macros, formats, and load client data from other platforms.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with team members to resolve non-routine issues.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
Qualifications & Skills Required
To qualify for this role, you must have:

| Education | Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field. |
| Experience | 0-1 year of experience in database administration, preferably in clinical or healthcare domains. |
| Technical Skills | Strong proficiency in SAS programming (Base SAS, Advanced SAS, SAS Macros, SAS SQL, SAS Grid). |
| Clinical Knowledge | Understanding of clinical trial phases and clinical data management. |
| Report Generation | Experience in generating clinical reports (RTF, PDF, HTML) using SAS ODS. |
| Problem-Solving | Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems in clinical data programming. |
| Communication Skills | Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork. |
Preferred Skills
- Experience with database administration in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in programming using SAS/BASE, SAS/Advanced SAS, and SAS/Macros.
- Knowledge of clinical trial operations and terminology.
