Job Overview
Wipro is hiring for the position of Drug Safety Physician – Sr. Executive in its Pharmacovigilance department located in Pune. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products by analyzing and reviewing safety data. Freshers and experienced professionals with up to 3 years of experience are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report Review:
- Analyze published reports and biomedical literature to identify adverse reaction cases.
- Identify non-individual case reports as part of the pharmacovigilance process.
- Regulatory Application:
- Apply regulatory guidelines and internal protocols to determine the relevance of reports for adverse event monitoring.
- Relevancy Assessment:
- Assess the relevance of case reports in line with industry and pharmaceutical regulations.
- Training:
- Provide training to team members on identifying inclusion criteria for case reports.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure the team is well-trained and up to date with the latest pharmacovigilance norms.
- Other Duties:
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the team lead or manager.
Requirements
Education:
- MBBS required
- MD in Pharmacology preferred
Experience:
- 0-3 years of experience in Drug Safety, with freshers eligible to apply.
- Clinical research experience is an added advantage.
- Immediate joiners or those available within 30 days are preferred.
Technical and Functional Competencies:
- Human Anatomy & Physiology: Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
- MedDRA Coding: Familiarity with MedDRA coding to classify adverse events.
- Seriousness Determination: Ability to determine the severity of adverse drug reactions.
- Pharmacological Concepts: Understanding of key pharmacological principles.
- Communication: Proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with others and work in a team environment.
